Few Pictures of Our New Home

Thought I would put up a few pictures of our new home that my hubby took.  Enjoy!

Ok so here are some captions for ya.  The pictures of the house are well, the house.  We have a huge side yard and 3 separate types of buildings.  The main house is where we are all staying.  It's a wonderful space for the girls to live and it's terrific to have so much land for them to run around on.  The big building is the storage/garage space.  We're storing the majority of our furniture in there along with things that we don't need to have access to as of yet. Cory's late father's truck is also in that storage building.  We call his truck the "Bull Frog" I'm sure you can figure out why. ;)  The metal building in the back is the horse's space.  Yes, we have a horse.  Her name is Carolina Dare "Dare" for short.  She is about 24 years old and is pretty finicky around people.  She isn't too fond of men and isn't too fond of Kate either, but she's a big baby around me.  I love her to pieces and spoil her rotten.   Then last and certainly least is Muddie. Muddie is a ginormous snapping turtle that hubby found the other day near one of the outside dog pens.  Muddie is a nasty little punk.  He is about 2 and 1/2 feet long stretched out.  He attempted to eat my hubby.  We have since relocated Muddie back into the pond in the backyard.  As we start to do more work outside I'll take more pictures and put them up.  We have expanded our family to include 7 chickens, 2 more dogs (my sister in law's dogs) and we'll probably be getting more chickens and a few goats, who knows what else.  But for now, we have 7 chickens.  3 are living inside still because they are too small to be outside yet.  They are the girls chickens.  We have Ariel (Riley's), Maya (Maggie's), and Pooba (Ella's).  Outside we have Mortitia, Gomez, Pugsley and Wednesday. Our two "adopted" dogs are Brewster and Max. They live outside and are cute as buttons.  Slowly but surely we'll be making some changes outside and hopefully making it a bit more "animal" and "kid" friendly.  But for now, it's perfect for our family of 5+ animals!
